Discover the region
Inaugurated in 1968, the Jupiter resort is located between Neptun (to the north) and Cap Aurora (to the south), in an area that benefits from the protective existence of the Comorov forest, the only natural reserve of the Romanian coast, and from the vicinity of two lakes - Neptun II ("Jupiter Lake" 18 ha) and Tismana Lake (1.6 ha), which were created by the development of the former Comorova marsh. Thanks to the nature reserve that surrounds it, it benefits from a special climate. During the summer, its rich vegetation provides coolness on hot days. In the cold season, the forest acts as a protection against the Dobrogean wind, thus making the winters milder. In the south of the Jupiter resort, there is Cap Aurora, the youngest resort on the Romanian coast. Both climactic resorts are famous for their treatment cures, the natural cure factors are sea aerosols, the climate rich in saline aerosols, the sun's rays and brilliance, sea water (sodium, sulfate, hypotonic and magnesian) and peat mud reserves. It is an exotic beach in the heart of the Romanian coast, quite wide and with fine sand, which stretches for about 1 km and is located in the continuation of the beach in Neptun, being arranged in some portions with sunbeds and shades and protected by dykes (breakwaters) in the shape of Y. There are many shady alleys, which make walks on the seafront perfect. In the north of the resort, in the Tismana Lake area, you can find most of the shops and restaurants. The possibilities for spending time are in accordance with the facilities available at the resort: bars and nightclubs, open-air cinema, tennis and minigolf courts, bowling alleys, swimming pools. Tourists have a lot of possibilities for entertainment. You can practice various water sports both on the sea and on Lake Tismana or fishing from the jetties. It is a spectacular balneo-climatic resort that maintains a rest resort profile, it is among the quietest resorts on the Black Sea shore, being preferred by family tourists. It is an intimate place where sea lovers can indulge in an oasis of tranquility.
